My Grain-Free e-Cookbook - Nourishing Eats

I'm pleased to announce the release of Nourishing Eats, my grain-free e-cookbook.  This cookbook contains 60 nutrient-dense recipes.  This book is perfect for the GAPS Diet since 57 of the recipes are legal for the Full GAPS Diet.  It is also suitable for primal/paleo eating. I've kept the price low so that more people can benefit from this great resource.

The book comes in PDF format, and is ready to print for those who prefer to have something they can easily refer to in the kitchen. It is a great value at only $7.99.

Here is the full table of contents for the cookbook:

You inspire me, Sarah, and for my community, we desire a kosher GAPS cookbook. Are you game? ;-)

Sarah Smith said...

Ha Lori, I'd need your help on that as I don't know much about kosher. I'm game if you are ;)

Are many of the recipes dairy free?

Sarah Smith said...

Yes!
More than half of the main courses are dairy-free.
Almost all of the fermented foods/condiments are dairy-free.
Most of the breakfast items are dairy-free or have dairy-free options.
Most of the snacks and desserts are dairy-free or have a dairy0free option.

Hi there,
I ordered the recipes, thanks.
But, I have no idea how to download.
I received a confirmation email from google checkout.
My order number is 677311400195721.
There is a link on the order to check status, but I get the error that "You are currently signed in to a Google Checkout account that does not have permission to perform the specified action. Please sign out of all Google Accounts, and then sign in to the appropriate Google Checkout account before retrying the desired action."
Any help is appreciated.

Hi John,
I'm not sure what the problem was (sometimes google seems to just bug out), but I e-mailed the cookbook to you!

Lauren said...

Sorry Sarah, but me too - I think something about completing the checkout in German (because Google is SO much smarter than me and overrides my preferences based on my location. Ahem) messed up the process. I have a confirmation, but nowhere to enter the password. Any tips?

Sarah Smith said...

Hey Lauren, I e-mailed it to you!

hi
I am very interested in the GAPS diet and would like to slowly transition my family on. My problem is that my (2.5 yr old) daughter is very sensitive/allergic to eggs and So many of the GAPS recipes I find are very egg heavy... Im wondering about your cookbook?
thanks

kelsey

Sarah Smith said...

Hi Kelsey,
My baked goods do tend to rely on eggs heavily. The main courses do not.

Here are some links to a few egg-free recipes that I hope will help:

Hello,
Can you tell me what program you used to make your cookbook? I purchased it and I love the lay out.
Thank you so much

Sarah Smith said...

I used Microsoft Word. I just made up the layout as I went, though. (I used Word extensively back when I was woeking, so I am familiar with all of its features.) I'm glad you like it!

Hi Sarah,
I don't mean to be a pest, but do you accept Pay Pal? I've never used the Google checkout, so I'm not as familiar with it and feel safe with Pay Pal.

Thanks so much! I love, love, love your site! You have so many yummy recipes to make the GAPS diet delicious!

Hugs,
Kari

Sorry, I can't take Paypal. Through no fault of my own, they locked up my account declaring it was insecure, and even locked up my funds for 3 months! And I can't ever reactivate it, even after talking to them on the phone ad nauseum.

Google checkout will just take your debit or credit card info, though, if you want to use that. I've been using it for years, with no problems.

Charlene said...

Hi Sarah,
I know you several great recipes online, and was just wondering how many of the recipes are exclusive to the cookbook? Thanks! Charlene

Sarah Smith said...

Hi Charlene,
None of the recipes are exclusive to the cookbook, except it does include updates to some of the recipes that are available online. So you could just go through my archives to get all of them if you'd prefer doing it that way. I tried to price it nice and cheap, though, so that it might be cost effective enough to be so much easier than trying to search through the site. The whole thing is a PDF file that prints very well and could be viewed on the iPad or Kindle as well. I printed it out and put the pages in a 3-ring binder inside of transparent covers, that way I don't have to worry about getting food on any of the pages when I use it. Do whatever works for you!

Charlene said...

Thanks, you've just convinced me to spend the $5 for a nice, concise version that I can easily print out or view on my iPad! I very much appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to this awesome blog!

You could pay me with a check by mail if that works for you. If so, please e-mail me at nourishedandnurtured[at]gmail[dot]com and I will send you my mailing address.

madge said...

hi Sarah
do most of your recipes contain honey?
thanks
Madge

Sarah Smith said...

Hi Madge,
Honey is the only sweetener used in the recipes in this cookbook.

Kristy Kelley said...

HI! I am interested in ordering this book However, I have two children that have severe egg and nut allergies. Do you think the recipes would be usable for us? Also, I've been wanting to try GAPS diet with them but just not sure if it's possible without eggs as they seem to be in so many of the recipes and it would really limit our food options. Thanks!

Sarah Smith said...

Hi Krista,
My baked goods/breakfasts/desserts do tend to rely on eggs and/or nuts. The main courses are generally nut and egg free.

Here is one recipe you could try that has neither eggs nor nuts.

Hi there,
I'd like to order the ebook, but I don't want to have to get a google account. Is there anyway to order it without having to do that.
(Sorry if the answer is above, but I'm in a rush and need to hurry and can't read through all the responses.)
Thanks.

Hi Sarah,

Are these recipes also on your website? I saw so many great recipes on your site that I wanted to try, but I prefer to buy your book so I can support you and your work!

I'm putting my family on the GAPS diet to foster some healing, and I found your site through Pinterest. The recipes look delicious and I'm excited to experiment with grain free, GAPS cooking.

Thank you for sharing your work so we can benefit.

Warmly, Karly
