So I'm not sure how fast these tallow candles burn in comparison to regular candles, because I can't remember how regular candles burn. I don't know whether or not the tallow candles clean the air, but I can tell you that they do not bother my husband's sinuses like normal candles do!Sarah Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01348347054374584427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3313009931298256746.post-64252509108466158212012-05-14T12:49:04.702-06:002012-05-14T12:49:04.702-06:00Hello there, I am going to try this for sure. Is it quicker because the fat burns faster? Also, the makers of bee's wax candles claim that the air is cleaned while you burn their candles, would you know if this is the case with beef tallow?Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10392453141836086816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3313009931298256746.post-78437522683839365462012-05-07T15:32:49.276-06:002012-05-07T15:32:49.276-06:00I only rendered it once, and did not press the tal...I only rendered it once, and did not press the tallow. Since we love to burn candles, this would make another wonderful use for it! Beef tallow is much harder at room temperature than lard; I don't think you could make candles with lard unless perhaps you mixed it with something very hard like beeswax. If it is tallow, I think the candles would work great!Sarah Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01348347054374584427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3313009931298256746.post-48016479177021587642011-12-05T18:35:11.972-07:002011-12-05T18:35:11.972-07:00Wow, what a timely post! By the time I realized this, it had already oxidized, and smells not so good. I am wondering if making candles is an appropriate use of this rancid tallow, or if you think it will work okay?Daninoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3313009931298256746.post-8600422231099505602011-12-02T06:51:38.658-07:002011-12-02T06:51:38.658-07:00Hi Laurie,
