Although The Tao of Motherhood,' is not directly concerning education, it has been a source of principals that for me, speak so directly to the essence of a child allowed to know his or her own self and what a mother has to do with it. For me, I started out using Well-Trained Mind (leading to total burnout), then started incorporating Montessori, Vygotsky, and Charlotte Mason, but then I eventually found Leadership Education and my search was over. Finding Leadership Education was like finding home for me, so I haven't looked anywhere else beyond that. Now we are in our 3rd year of using that method and still loving it. As from what I have read it seems to have the same feeling about it as the books you have reviewed above. Would love to know your thoughts on it if you have looked into it at all. I am at a bit of a crossroads right now and trying to make a decision as to the best way forward. I have a 7 yr old and twin 1 yr olds. My 7 yr old is doing great in public school and he loves it, but I feel there is more out there and don't agree with some things. I will also read some of the books you mention above, thank you :) I have been looking at a Steiner school, and just now been researching on homeschooling which I didn't really think I was cut out for, but who knows... THank you :)Joznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3313009931298256746.post-42529684616681233452015-08-15T11:43:08.872-06:002015-08-15T11:43:08.872-06:00I find John Holt's work to be helpful and insp...I find John Holt's work to be helpful and inspiring.
